Research: Central Valley Grasslands Provide Critical Habitat for Wintering Raptors

California Rangeland Conservation Coalition shared the findings of a 3 year study of raptors wintering in California’s Central Valley. The study was led by Dr. Pandolfino, funded by the US Fish and Wildlife Service and published in Western Birds.  This is another piece of research that supports the benefits of grazing for certain types of wildlife (Ferruginous Hawks, Rough-legged Hawks, and Prairie Falcons).  View full article here.
